NOTE: As their name suggests hints are not exactly Picross DS cheats, and are usually just simple (but very useful) tips on how you can unlock secret level, features, find hidden areas and such. Hopefully these will make playing Picross DS even more entertaining.

Today's Picross "Find" Mode: Play Today's Picross at least once a day for seven days
Today's Picross "Not X" Mode: Play Today's Picross at least once a day for three days
Free Puzzle Starts
When solving a Picross puzzle in a 10 x 10 grid (most normal level puzzles), here are some tips for quickly filling in spots on the grid:
If a column/row has a 10, you can automatically fill in the entire column/row.
If a column/row has a 9, you can automatically fill in the center 8 blocks of that column/row.
If a column/row has a 8, you can automatically fill in the center 6 blocks of that column/row.
If a column/row has a 7, you can automatically fill in the center 4 blocks of that column/row.
If a column/row has a 6, you can automatically fill in the center 2 blocks of that column/row.
Unlockable Mario Picross Extra Level
Finish all 10 levels in Normal Mode and an 11th, EXTRA stage gets unlocked. The Extra level, made up of 15 additional puzzles, features Mario character and block graphics, complete with sound effects.
